Founded in 1812, the Waterbury Button Co. is the original manufacturer of uniform buttons worn by both North and South during the American Civil War. When Gen. Ulysses S. Grant met Gen. Robert E. Lee at Appomattox Courthouse, both men wore Waterbury buttons on their chests.

uniform buttons packaged 10 buttons to a bag. Each button is stamped with modern tooling from die replicas decended from the originals in the Waterbury archives. The buttons are made of brass, with a 24 carat gold plated finish.
