  • Condition: There is an ice pick chip, right at a glass dip, that makes things look worse than they are, as seen in the photos, heavy base wear, but not much on the sides and only a few light scattered scratches. An excavated example that retains some interior contents and haze, some exterior haze mostly around the base and shoulders, not tumbled or cleaned. Quality and condition can be seen in the photos.

    This auction is for a black glass, glass chip pontil in a kick up base, not embossed, squat rum, ale, liquor or spirits bottle dug in a privy in Philadelphia near 2nd and Front Street. This bottle stands 7 1/8 inches tall, dug in 2019, not tumbled, a nice early one that is fresh to the market.
