    Here is that colorful creature from the 1966 Sci-fi film, “Destination Innerspace,” a rare resin model still new in its box after 30 years. This fishy fiend was produced way back in 1991 by Dimensional Designs, one of their many models based on wild, offbeat movie monsters. The kit offered here is one of the first castings from DD's original molds - an early, quite clean casting of solid white resin, purchased directly from DD at the time of the model’s premiere.
    Unlike most of their line, Dimensional’s Destination Innerspace model saw a very limited lifespan and was retired early, making it a hard kit to locate these days. It’s an excellent representation of the undersea alien that's film accurate, crisply detailed, and presented upon a sea lab display base complete with optional nameplate. It’s also the only model figure we know of that celebrates the creature.
    The kit is 1/6 scale, standing approx. 14” tall x 10” wide once assembled, looking terrific on display. (Just check out the painted photos of the model posted here.)
    Wonderful retro resin and a very early casting, DD’s Innerspace model is complete, unbuilt, and packaged in its original box. Yeah, DD’s box is somewhat soiled after 30 years of storage, but the model is brand new and untouched. So, if you dig rubber monsters, dive deep.
