    Description

    I have no idea if this is exactly 1953 or not, it was kept by a man who had a 1940 Buick Roadmaster and these were his spare engine parts.  They have been sitting in a shed for 25 years, but were supposed to have been remanufactured, I have no way of knowing that for sure and they need it again anyway.  Bare block, head , crankshaft, and timing cover.  I included the engine block number in the pictures.  I have no way of knowing if there are any cracks, warps, or other non visible problems, they are sold as is for parts, and they are a local pickup item here in Brewster NY 55 miles north of NYC.  I can help you load it with a forklift.
    I am getting requests to ship this item to various locations. I do not have a crate, I do not have materials or time or skilled help to make one.  I would be more than willing to place the parts into a crate that you make and ship to me, and hand the crate to whatever trucking company you send for it.  Head casting number is 1318766-5
    Price reduced, it's in my way and shortly to be scrapped, I hate to scrap anything like this, but scrap is what we do.  The old station wagon I have this hidden in the back of is to be scrapped come spring and I am not manhandling this into some other vehicle.
    Another eBay member has provided the following about this engine block-
    70941114
    7094111 = sequential number, range started at 6,950,620 for 1953 (last year for Buick straight 8)
    4 = Series 40/Special, making it a 263 I8
    Just a bit of info for you, your friend may have had a 1940 Roadmaster but this is not a Roadmaster engine. The Roadmaster was a 320 ci. engine, and always had the ID.No. pad to the left of the distributor, yours is on the right side of the distributor which would probably make it a 248 ci.

    He died a long time ago so I can't ask him what the engine came out of, he moved south and was supposed to collect all this stuff at a later time but he died suddenly before he got the chance.
